LOGON HELP

CREATING A FAVORITE (INTERNET SHORTCUT)
In order to create an Internet shortcut, go to the first iSite page here, then right click on the quicklink ("Logon to iSite") and select "Add to Favorites". For technical reasons you shouldn't go to the actual iSite Enterprise logon screen first and then attempt to add that to your Favorites as the shortcut which will be created will not work all of the time.

INITIAL LOGON ATTEMPT
The first time you try to logon to iSite Enterprise, there will be a short delay... please be patient as your browser downloads an active-X component that allows iSite to run on your computer. The active-X component will take anywhere from 10 seconds to a minute to download depending on your Internet connection. Once that is downloaded you should either see a yellow security bar appear at the top of your browser or you will get a pop up window asking if you want to allow the ActiveX component. Click Yes or Allow and then depending on your browser you may see a second window appear asking if you want to install the component. Once you click 'yes/allow/install' it should quickly install the component and open the iSite webpage. If you get a message that your browsers security settings will not allow you to install an Active-X component you may need to call your IT department, or you can call Mike Kennicutt at 816-561-5858 x509 for assistence.

IMPORTANT LOGON SETTINGS
Once you see the iSite logon page you may need to change a couple settings. There will be four lines ('user name', 'password', 'Log on to' and 'Workstation Location'). Enter your username and password and then set the bottom two drop down lists as follows depending on whether you are an MPIA radiologist or a referring office radiologist or staff member:

Referring office accounts will need to logon to RMS.MPIA, while MPIA radiologists will need to log on to iSite. The workstation location however will be the same regardless. You need to set that option to DSL/Cable Modem. If you choose Main Location or WAN then iSite will not know to send you compressed images... it will send you full resolution, uncompressed images as if you were on the MPIA network and it will take a VERY long time to download even one image; also it will utilize a lot of our Internet bandwidth, so please choose the DSL option.

LOGON ISSUES
The only outstanding issue I am aware of at this time effects users trying to connect from a Saint Lukes hospital PC running the TrendMicro software firewall. I am working with the hospital's IS department to try to work through this issue. If you try to logon and recieve a message that the server is unavailable then feel free to call Mike Kennicutt at 816-561-5858 ext 509 to see if this issue is close to being resolved.
